Patrick Van Haren - President
Pat provides strategic direction, marketing, and management for the company. Pat’s hands-on approach to business started in high school at his family’s business, Van Haren Electric, which he joined full time after college, giving him the opportunity to put his business degree to work. Under his leadership, which began in 1972, Van Haren Electric grew to become one of the largest electrical contractors in the area. He has extensive experience in installation, estimating, purchasing, field leadership, and corporate management. With integrity, creativity, and a visionary spirit, Pat has built a company that is highly recognized in its’ market.

Gloria Lubben, CPP - Executive Vice President
Gloria was hired in 1993 to establish SecurAlarm Systems, Inc. She is a graduate of Calvin College, with a degree in Business Administration and Psychology. She is a Certified Protection Professional and has extensive experience in the security industry, including central station operations, installation, and residential and commercial system design and sales. She is second to none with her combined industry expertise, creativity and ingenuity, and ability to help her clients build comprehensive solutions not just fix problems.

John Hopwood, MCSE – Sales Engineering Manager
John has been with SecurAlarm from the beginning and has been influential in helping SecurAlarm build a solid foundation of quality and consistency. John is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer, a licensed fire alarm technician, and is factory-certified on every product that we represent. As the primary support for our Sales Team, his depth of hands-on experience and attention to detail helps ensure that we make the best product selections for our clients and ensures that our systems are designed and installed with the utmost functionality and consistency. Bottom line, John is the “mastermind” behind what we do everyday.

Kimberly King, CPA - Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer
Kimberly is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Accounting. Her career started in public accounting providing audit and internal control consulting in the “Big Five” accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP and a large Michigan regional accounting firm, The Rehmann Group. In her role, Kimberly is responsible for the oversight of all organizational, operational, and financial operations of the company. She also leads the strategic planning process, business process reengineering initiatives, and oversees the company’s performance management system. She has been instrumental in helping the company align, “get focused”, and streamline processes throughout the entire organization.

Al Wohlfert - Master Technician
Al Wohlfert has also been with SecurAlarm since the beginning. He has approximately 20 years of security and fire alarm experience and has been instrumental in developing our company’s installation standards. He is the mentor of our field personnel and is our clients’ “Go to Guy” for issues.

Brent VanHaren - Manager of Engineering
Brent is a graduate from Tufts University with an Electrical Engineering degree and from Marquette University with a masters in Engineering. In his role as Manager of Engineering, Brent is responsible for overseeing the company’s sales engineering support, engineering quality standards, product evaluation, and bid market coordination. His role is crucial in bringing together “best in class” designs to meet our clients’ needs while at the same time ensuring that their installation and execution are of the highest quality for our clients. Brent’s technical expertise, coordination skills, and ability to listen makes him a valuable ingredient as we pursue excellence as a company.

Ron Jansen - Manager of Operations
Ron is a graduate from Grand Rapids Community College with a Business Associates degree and is in pursuance of a business degree at Grand Valley State University. He has also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves for 6 years. His overall responsibility includes the supervision of our Service and Installation Departments. In this role, he ensures that the installation and commissioning processes of our systems are performed at the highest level of quality and client service. And once the systems are in place, he ensures a “best in class” system operation, training of employees, and assistance in writing operating procedures as necessary. His “Best in Class” approach provides our clients the assurance that they are our top priority whether it be upon installation or as their ongoing needs change.
