History and Our Vision

In 1993, Pat Van Haren started SecurAlarm Systems, Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI. It is now one the most recognizable security integrators servicing West Michigan and beyond including an International reach. We design, install, and maintain electronic security, fire alarm, and communication systems in industrial, institutional, and commercial buildings as well as residential homes. We also provide monitoring and fixed price service contracts on these systems.

We are very proud of our team due to their technological competency, industry experience, and client service orientation. Our goal is to continually find the balance between supporting our employees and yet also allowing them to grow based on the foundation of our core values:
